Cool New Chair

Mummy and daddy surprised me with this big, comfy chair a couple of nights ago. They said that my Great Granny Ina bought it for me when I was still in mummy's tummy. It's a wee bit on the big side but I'm sure all that rice I've been eating lately will help me grow into it soon enough.



Daddy was home all day today so he helped me with my lunch. This rice stuff's pretty tasty and I do my best trying to eat it all, although watching mummy make funny faces when I blow it on her face is rather amusing.

First Tastes

I turned 24 weeks old yesterday and to celebrate mummy and daddy decided it was time for some 'solid' food. Baby rice was on the menu and here's what happened...

Hmmmm, that's not mummy's milk but it looks like it could be fun.



Not too sure about the texture.



Actually, it's not that bad. I quite like it. Attempting to blow bubbles with it is particularly fun.



In fact, I think I'd get on better if you would let me hold the spoon myself mummy.

Visitors

Aunty Évi and cousin Márkó were staying with us this week.




It was nice to have them around. We went to visit lots of different people at Word of Life because Aunty Évi used to go to the Bible School. We were very busy though and Mummy kept forgetting to take the camera! She promised to work on that. She did manage to get this nice picture of Márkó and me though. We were just hanging out having a wee chat, although Márkó didn't seem to understand my Scottish accent and kept asking his mummy what I was saying.

I've been practising how to wink like you showed me. I haven't quite perfected it yet but I'm getting there. Think I need a few more lessons so you'll need to come and visit me soon and remind me how it's done.

Two more firsts!

What an exciting day we had on Sunday. We went to visit Beni and meet his new baby sister, Lia, for the first time. She is very cute...at least that's what everyone kept saying. I am only 5 months and 1 day older than Lia but mummy says I look really big all of a sudden! Mummy also says that when Lia is a bit older we can get together and play with each other. I'm looking forward to that.



Lia sleeps alot so while she was napping I played with Beni. Beni has this little telephone that we both really wanted to play with. Beni's bigger and stronger than me so he ended up with the phone.



But that's ok, he gave me a kiss to make up for taking the toy. Mummy says that's another first she'll need to write on my 'firsts' calendar. Daddy says I should remember that this is not only a first, but also a last for a very long time....until I'm at least 16! Not too sure what he's talking about. :-)

Well I haven't been feeling very well this week so mummy and I have spent most of our time in the house keeping warm and cosy. I'm feeling a lot better now and to celebrate mummy thought we should post a couple of new pictures.

Here's one of me with the funny hairstyle that dad gave me in the bath the other night. Mummy says I won't thank him for this one when I'm older! :)



I think I'm supposed to look at the pictures in this book rather than try to put the whole thing in my mouth....at least I got a big smile from mummy when I was lying on my play mat looking at the book. Eating it is still way more fun but don't tell mummy I said that...she's always trying to get me to look at books.



I'm fairly certain that this thing's for eating.....mummy says they eat lots of pork in Hungary. I'm not sure what the big deal is....it's a bit tough if you ask me.



Mummy and daddy were working in the garden this afternoon and it was cold out there so I had to put my hat on.



My aunty Évi and cousin Márkó are coming to stay with us this week so we'll be out and about all over the place. I'll have lots of pictures to post next weekend so come back and see them!

Family Holiday

We just arrived home from our wee trip to Galyatető. We stayed in a beautiful hotel for two nights and had lots of fun!

The first day we arrived, mummy and daddy did some shooting with air guns, while I slept. Yes, slept in the same place where they were shooting! Mummy asked me why I can't sleep like that at night, but I couldn't think of a good answer!

There was a big adventure park at the hotel. Daddy said we'll go back there again when I'm a bit bigger. For now, we all went on the seesaw and daddy had a go on the zip slide. There was quite a lot of snow everywhere but it was still nice and warm.





The best bit of our holiday was all the swimming we did. It was a bit like taking a bath but I had to wear clothes and mummy and daddy came in and played with me too! It was great fun.

My Scottish Grandma bought me this really nice swim cape and I was finally able to try it out. Mummy said I looked very cute. I wasn't all that bothered about the way it looked...all I was concerned about was it passing the taste test, which it did with flying colours! Thanks Grandma!



At first I went in the pool with mummy. I wasn't too sure where we were going at the start and was a bit nervous, but I soon realized it was just a big tub of water and there was nothing to be scared of. I had a great time splashing around.



Daddy came and played with me too and before long I was having the time of my life.



Even managed a smile for this photo. Got to keep mummy and daddy happy, you know! :)

All that swimming proved to be pretty tiring though.



When all our fingers and toes were like little prunes we went for a walk.



Mummy says all the hills remind her of Scotland.



I love walking with mummy and daddy when they hold me in the sling but after such a busy weekend, even being carried turned out to be a a little too much!
