Ready, Steady, Go!

I figured out that the baskets I keep my toys in are useful for something much more exciting than simple storage.

I was famished after all that exercise so it's a good job mummy left some shortbread out where I could get my hands on it! It was delicious....both pieces!

Happy Birthday to Me!

When I woke up on Friday morning I just knew something was going on....mummy and daddy seemed extra awake and cheerful for 7 in the morning, which is pretty unusual for starters. When I went into the living room there were balloons everywhere, which made me very happy 'cause I love balloons. Daddy gave me my breakfast and got me changed and when we went back through to the living room there were lots of cool, colourful boxes sitting by the radiator.

I had great fun opening my pressies. I tried to take all the wrapping paper off gently with just my finger and thumb, but that was taking ages so mummy and daddy helped a little bit.

One of my presents was so big that I had to stand up to unwrap it!

After I had a wee sleep we all got in the car and went to the Zoo. I had never been to the Zoo before, but loved it so much that I definitely hope we'll be going there again soon. We saw big animals and small animals, cute ones and smelly ones, but my favourites were the goats. They came really close when daddy gave them some food. I think they must have been really hungry.

I pointed at everything just to make sure mummy and daddy noticed all the cool things to see.

We even saw some pigs but I wasn't so keen on them. I like the nice smelling pink pig that Grandma Meszaros gave me much better!

We went for a walk and also had fun in the park, playing on the swings and hiding out in the wee house.

When we got home from the Zoo there was another surprise waiting for me! A great big birthday cake!

Mummy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa all sang happy birthday to me and everyone made such a fuss that I got a bit shy for a few seconds.

The cake looked really good but it had all this white stuff on it that felt a bit weird and it was all very messy. Mummy and daddy seemed to be really enjoying their slice though so I tried a little bit. It was ok, but not my favourite. I think prefer a nice chicken dinner! My sweet tooth hasn't grown yet.

All in all I had a fantastic day and can't wait till my next birthday. Mummy says I'll have one every year! I wonder when that will be?

When I'm Big

Now that I'm nearly 1, I've been having a wee think about what I'd like to be when I'm bigger.

I enjoy playing on my bike so maybe I'll be a professional cyclist.

Gymnastics looks like a lot of fun so maybe I'll try and win a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics.

Or maybe I'll be a hairdresser cause I have lots of fun brushing mummy's hair for her.

It's a pretty big decision though so maybe I'll wait till I'm 2 to decide.

Food, Glorious Food

Mummy has started letting me eat the same food that she and daddy eat and I'm lovin' it!

There are always so many yummy things to choose from that I sometimes have a hard time deciding what to try first.

The food is so good that I have to tell mummy all about how much I'm enjoying it while I still have my mouth full of food.

I always offer mummy and daddy some of my food because mummy says it's important to learn how to share but they never seem to want to share no matter how many times I offer! That really confuses me, but at least that leaves more food for me!
